I use this 2nd grade sight word booklet in conjunction with the 1st grade sight word booklet. We build ice cream scoops on our data wall for each 20 words the students know. At the end of the year, we have an ice cream party! The sight words are listed in groups of 20 with short phrases on the next page to strengthen the concept of forming words to make sentences. This has been a very helpful way to collect student data on sight word fluency.
