We use it specifically from year 4 - year 6 to consolidate children’s knowledge of times tables and multiplcation.It is good to use when skip counting, or going through times tables with children. Water Filter Experiment- packet
This experiment is great for understanding water filtration. We use 2 liter bottles with the bottom cut off. Students preplan in their groups what materials to use and how to place them in the upsidedown 2 liter. Once the prepare their "filtration system", I pour dirty water in and we collect it (glass baby food jars work great because you can see inside) out of the small opening at the bottom. Capture the Flag is a math game for 3rd-5th grade students learning/enhancing their basic 0-12 multiplication facts. Also, through game play, students will be working on structuring numbers, adding, and subtracting.
My classroom loves it!
Teachers: I recommend printing and taping the four boards together so the flags for each are in the middle. Also I laminated mine so they can be wiped clean and played for years to come!
