We read three books that do a great job of teaching about elections and what they mean. The books were Duck for President, Amelia Bedelia's First Vote and Dubs for President. After weighing the pros and cons of each we had a voting day. The kids voted for one of the three characters in the books. Duck, Dubs or Amelia. Then together we graphed the results with this graph. I pulled up this document on the SMART board to follow along as well.
