This lesson is meant to be used as guided notes for a whole class. Students start off by learning how to find 10% of a number, and they use this to find 20%, 30%, 40%, and other multiples of 10%. After noticing that 50% is half of a number and 25% is a fourth, they then learn how to find 5% of a number. This allows them to find 35%, 45%, etc. Finally, students do some real world math by estimating percents of numbers and approximating a couple tips at a restaurant. The last 2 pages are a copy of
