Here is a fill-in-the-blank template I use for lower achieving and sped children. It uses my body paragraph format of P.I.E.C.E. (available on my other handout for essays), and gives students a structure that will allow them to be successful on their STAAR test. It teaches them the fundamental way of explaining how the outcome of their synopsis of their example proves their thesis which is the goal of an expository essay.
