Writing equations and expressions from words can be a tricky task for my 6th graders. Here is a 15 question match exercise I created to help them. You could have them cut and paste or just match the numbers with the bottom answers. I have included 5 extra answer choices to make it trickier for them to just guess. This is a matchbook style foldable for solving percent problems on tax, tip, and discount. Students cut out the 6 example cards and sort them into tax, tip and discount categories. Then students sort the cards into one-step (multiplication) or two-step (multiplication and add/subtract). Work the example problems and glue/tape into foldable. My students always need extra work rounding money; so, I am including a FREE rounding decimals/money worksheet. This is great for interactive notebooks!
