Morning Meeting Questions/Writing prompts FREEBIE
When I taught first grade we would have a morning meeting on the carpet every day. During this time we would sit in a circle and our leader would pick one of these questions out of a bag for the whole class to take turns answering.
This was such a fun, silly way to build a positive classroom environment! The students would laugh and giggle and each morning we would learn a little something new about each other.

Writing Checklist Bookmark
A simple writing checklist for students that uses words and pictures.
- Capital letters at the start of sentences
- Lowercase letters within sentences
- Finger Spaces
- Word Wall Words
- Details
- Punctuation at the end of sentences
- Reading over writing to check for clarity
- Neat printing that is easy to read
How I Use It:
1) Laminate one for each student and use a dry erase marker to check off after daily writing tasks
2) Have students self-assess their writing
3) Have students peer-asses

Kindergarten Sentence Starters to use in writing/put in writing folders
This product is a great document to help your Kindergarten writers! You can use this with a DocCamera or put a copy in each students' writing folder! When it is time for writing, they can pick a sentence starter to help them with the writing process!
