I created this notebook as a starting point for teaching art to my 4th, 5th, & 6th graders. This notebook covers the basics of the 7 elements of art. The Power Point presentation included covers the notes.
For early finishers or homework...there are additional sketch pages.
I also included extra blank pages for any additional concepts and examples.

Sketchbook Grading Policy
I use this to grade student sketchbooks. Students have a weekly sketchbook assignment. This list helps keep them on track. Students glue this handout to the front page of their sketchbooks and refer to it when needed. It gives great structure to the sketchbook process and ensures that students are completing quality work.

Sketch notes are amazing, seriously, Google it! This is a great reading strategy, as well as something to help students' actually do something with their hands while listening to a read-aloud.This is an organizer I have for my students who need a little bit more guidance for their sketch notes while I am reading aloud.
