2-Digit Addition-Shake It Off Addition Song!

Making Musical Comparisons
This is a template I use with my students to compare and contrast different versions/covers of the same songs (i.e. Hound Dog and popular big band, rock and roll, and jazz music). Flight of the Bumblebee: Listening Chart
Here is a listening chart for your students to follow along to while listening to Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee. I have used it with my 1st grade students with great success to discuss the melodic themes and contour. Using a listening chart also makes it easy to assess the students. For example, you can ask if the little bees were loud or soft, short detached sounds or long connected ones, etc.

I used this graphic organizer with my second graders after I taught them Rondo Form. Each box represents 1 beat. The students write their own piece of music in rondo form using known rhythm symbols. I had them work in groups and then perform their pieces at the end. The directions are included.
