Transportation: Land, Air, and Water Sort
This is a great activity for students to work on in centers or when they have finished their work early. If students cannot yet read, instruct the students in finding the beginning sound of each label or use the pictures of land, air, and water instead of the labels.
• Cut out and laminate these pictures and labels. Have students sort the pictures by land, air, and water.
• Put a magnet on the back of each cut-out. Do the activity as a class on the whiteboard.

Recycling in NYC (and around the USA) Bilingual Lesson Plan
Use bilingual resources to teach students the value of recycling. This lesson plan uses New York City's recycling visuals seen around the city to help teach students learn about what types of materials can or cannot be recycled. Students read a bilingual book, then complete an activity independently, then complete an activity as a group. This is best for younger students in a Bilingual, Dual-Language, or ESL environment.
