Olympic Biography Fakebook Organizer
Students can use this graphic organizer to collect relevant biographical information about their favorite Olympic athlete and make it into a Facebook-like profile page. Teachers can adjust the categories and specify their own requirements for each category to fit their group of students. Tier two vocabulary words to preview include obstacle, inspiration, and competition.

Expository writing is seen in non-fiction books, newspaper articles, and magazines.

This resource details the purpose of a bibliography and the elements it contains. Students will learn about the two major types of bibliography styles (MLA and APA) and the various components incorporated in each. Additionally, the lesson introduces the students to the OWL Purdue guide and Zotero, both of which are tools that aid in generating a bibliography.
