I created the following to guide diverse learners through a research project focusing on an individual. Students used Google Slides (template also available). The topic is usually inspired by the month (Hispanic Heritage Month, Women's History Month, etc.) As we studied individuals who have impacted our world, students identified a person they would like to further research.

I use this to start out the year, to remind myself my goals of being an 8th grade Learning Support Case Manager. My student's need to transition into the High School and need to be introduced to the philosophies in more than one way. I use this hand out during Curriculum Night, along with a powerpoint explaining my reasonings, and I use it during Parent /Teacher Conferences. The guardians appreciate the extra work and explanation behind your philosophy.
