Coin Picture and Value Reference Chart
I made this chart as a quick reference for my students who were struggling remembering the value of the penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and half dollar as well as what each side looked like. I laminated them and my students who needed them used them on their desks while they were counting money. I have used these for a few years and found it very helpful especially for my students who needed an extra tool to help them with money.

Personal Finance- Get to Know You
I have used this activity on the first day of school. It helps me get to know my students on a more personal level and it also allows me to see what they might already know about some of the topics we are going to cover in personal finance. I tell them that they can write a sentence or two, draw a picture, or get as creative as they want when filling this out. Giving more choice to students on day one helps to build their trust and also helps me see their personalities shine through!
