5 Paragraph Argumentative Essay Scaffold With Citation Help

I was inspired by a Kate Kinsella workshop that I attended and created this scaffolded essay template. I wanted my sixth-grade and seventh-grade students to write a five-paragraph argumentative essay that included spaces for citing their research. This template is entirely full of sentence frames, and both gifted, ELL, and SPED students enjoyed this activity. What's great about this template is the fact that you can edit it as needed. I highly recommend providing students with a writing checklist

Research has shown that if a familiar image or memory is linked with a new concept, the concept will be learned more quickly and retained in the memory banks of the brain. Included in this file is a power point, graphic organizers and a lesson plan. I hope you have as much success
