Middle School Memory Book - End of year activity!
This end of the year activity is a big hit with my classes! The memory book is filled with themed pages, prompts, and spaces for students to gather notes and signatures. We typically spend about 3-4 class periods working on these books. This is a wonderful project to help students with their research skills. It also is a way to hone their Powerpoint skills, which incorporates all conventions. Another thing I loved about doing this with my students is that they were able to see how much everything costs, and because they had to find pictures of the actual places and restaurants it broadens their horizons. I encourage them to pick somewhere they really want to visit someday as maybe they can use this itinerary in the future!

Research Report- Culture Project
Research Report- Cultural project. This was a wonderful project to give to my students. They absolutely enjoyed it and did very well. I used it as a research report which most state standards and Teks require from students in secondary grades. It has an outline and exemplar present. Channeling EMOTION: Discussing ARTISTIC alternatives to VIOLENCE
How do we respond to the violence facing the world today? This lesson is used to make students aware of other ways they could channel their anger instead of through violence.
