These poems will be great to use as an overview for what you will be studying or as a review of previously learned concepts. Poems can be chanted or sung. This pack contains mini-books in color and black and white for the song Five Green and Speckled Frogs. The booklets start with 5 frogs. As you sing/read and turn each page a frog disappears from the bottom. This makes it easy for students to understand the idea of subtraction before they are formally introduced to it. If you enjoy this please leave positive feedback!
This activity is perfect for a beginning of the year/ back to school color of the week.

It is set to the simple melody of "Row Row Row Your Boat" plus an added chorus. Often after teaching this to my 2nd graders all I had to say was the first line and they would sing the rest to themselves and remember the steps and complete the problem correctly! The zip file includes the song with guitar and vocals, a separate track of just the guitar

These are the times tables songs and chants that I use in my class to teach students their times tables. As they sing/chant, they hold up their fingers to show what they are multiplying by. Then, when they get stuck on a multiplication problem, they go through their song on their fingers until they get to their answer. Please note that I am NOT a singer, so these files are just a model of some tunes you can use in your own classroom to teach multiplication (hopefully you and your students will be
As a personal attendee of 8 years of all-girls school, and a HUGE Taylor Swift fan, this is a product I created to help engage fellow Swift fans in math, particularly to help girls feel competent and confident when working through problems. My students have loved these disposable crutches and can refer back to them when doing more complex problems.
You can use the entire song or just the chorus. This product helps walk students through long division, step-by-step. My students sang this song as
Why can children learn all the words to a song, but they cannot remember basic math facts? This original rap or chant teaches children the doubles math facts from 1+1 to 10 + 10 and helps them commit these facts to memory! Kids love to chant and rap. The suggested accompanying hand motions will help reach those kinesthetic learners! Visit Ms Heidi's store for more fun with original raps, chants, and reader's theater to make learning fun!

I wrote this rhyme to help second and third-graders memorize their doubles facts. While they often could double 1-5 with ease, they tended to get mixed up with the products of 6, 7, 8 and 9 when multiplied by two. After "singing" this enough times, I could hear my students whispering the lines to themselves when doing computations! Eventually, as with anything that we memorize, they needed to refer to the rhyme less and less, and eventually it was committed to memory.
I recommend writing it out
Memorizing multiplication tables just got a lot easier. Introducing our series of Skip Counting songs to simple nursery rhyme tunes that the children already know.
This is the first in the set of catchy songs will have the kids memorizing their tables faster and remembering them much longer than they would with flash cards. Did I mention it's a lot more fun?
