Estimating Products Using Rounding Common Core Worksheet
On this worksheet students round two and three digit numbers and then multiply them by one digit numbers in order to estimate the product. I had them round to the left most digit. After, we discussed if our estimate is higher or lower than what the product of the original problem would be. Students really enjoy this because they feel smart multiplying big numbers in their head : )

UIL Number Sense practice
This UIL Number Sense practice is a great mix of some of the tricks on the number sense test. The tricks included are x11, x12, x15, x25, x50, and x101. I used this as a practice sheet after we had already gone over the tricks. I think it's great for the students to practice them while they are all mixed together!
