A good friend of mine shared this thought with me a few years ago. How can we get our students to use and understand decimals? Help them to apply what they are learning to real - world situations. Since the Presidential Election is quickly approaching, I thought I would put this practice into action. In this activity, students will be given $1,000 in which they must use to pay for a three day - two night stay in Washington, DC in preparations for the Presidential Inauguration Activities.
