I came up with this plan to document each part of our day. If one of my students got ALL happy faces they would go home with a sticker and a chart that said "Good Day Today!" If they went home with MOSTLY excellent faces-- they would get a trip to my prize box that day. This has worked wonders. Rather than just marking on their calendar wha

A questionnaire that helps students reflect on their learning skills: responsibility, initiative, independent work, organization, collaboration, and self-regulation. It is set up with prompts that have worked for me over the years, however it can be edited to suit your class goals for learning skills. It includes a place for the student to set a goal for the new term ahead. I find that most often the student’s goal becomes the Learning Skills “Next Step" for the report cards I am writing.
