If your classroom is like mine, you believe learning is best by doing. Using plays, simulations and reenactments allows students to experience their learning targets/objectives. Plus, it is fun! I use this play during an Industrial Revolution unit in my economics class. I use it to supplement what we are learning at that time. It takes about 10-15 minutes for the whole activity, including the discussion. It is a great way to learn about some of the revolutionary changes occurring at that time.

I am the narrator for this one, however, you can organize it how you wish. The students really like the part when Margaret Arkwright is speaking through the door to Ric
