State Report and Power Point
This is used for information writing, listening and speaking, and technology grades. The students choose a state, do research by filling out a planning sheet, then use the planning sheet to make a power point. They present their power point and are scored using a presentation rubric. There is also a scoring guide for the power point and the entire project.

Weapons of Math Destruction/Coded Bias Exploration Presentation
This project can be used in various settings. I used it with 9th grade Algebra 1 students. As a supplement to curriculum, we began a book study of Cathy O'Neal's "Weapons of Math Destruction." We analyzed pros and cons of use of Artificial Intelligence and use can reinforce inequities in our society. At the conclusion of the book study, we watched the Documentary called, "Coded Bias." Students were then asked to continue their research and present the project linked.
