Your presentations should be informative, but also entertaining. You can use props, posters, music, handouts, drama/acting, games, costumes, bring food/samples, use PowerPoint or Hyper Studio, dioramas and maps/charts. Create a handout about your topic that can be passed out for other students.

Students select an island, state, or territory in the area, research that location, and create a commercial to attract tourists. Can be done using technology (iPads or computers) or with a good old posterboard! I have also included the notes I required them to take in outlining their commercial. [You could expand this project to include all of Oceania but I found that many of the islands were difficult for middle schoolers to research in a short amount of time.]
