Spanish Speaking Country Mini-Project
Two versions (Novice & Intermediate) of a one-day country research project. Use (and reuse!) as a fast-finisher activity, sub plan, or quiet seatwork while you manage interpersonal assessments. Includes a sign-up sheet to encourage students to choose different countries, simple questions in Spanish for novices, and more in-depth categories to research for intermediates. Two assessment options for a writing prompt about travel to the country are appropriate for levels 2+.

This is a fun research activity during Hispanic Heritage Month. Students may choose their own notable Hispanic, or there is a list provided with updated/current celebrities included. This is a printable note-taking worksheet that can be used to help students research a different country. I use it to start off a geography research project with my 5th and 6th grade Spanish class. It takes about 30 minutes for them to research the information on iPads -- less time for older grades -- and then the students use their notes on the sheet to create a presentation using slides.
