Timelines are a great way to organize data. This is a great extension activity after learning about timelines or it can be used as a beginning of the year get-to-know-you activity.
The direction page has a blank example box so you can draw in your own example! I recommend enlarging the timeline pages to 11x17. It makes it easier for little kiddo

Teaching 2nd Graders Responsibility: Egg Pet Project
This is a project I do every year with my students while discussing the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Each student is given a decorated blown egg to protect for five days. The “egg pet“ must be transported to and from school daily. If an accident occurs, the student must perform critical and creative surgery. The injured egg must return to school with a doctor’s excuse. It is a favorite memory in my classroom each year!
