This is a cute sequencing graphic organizer that I often use when my students are reading chapter books during reading groups. Usually my students focus on a chapter a week, and throughout the week we dissect the chapter. This is one tool to really map out and sequence events that may happen within that chapter. Students can write the different steps in the sequence, along with drawing a corresponding picture.

I made these little task cards after seeing many different anchor charts for 'Tracking thinking' during Reading Workshop.
My students often are stuck with using the same statements such as 'I wonder what will happen next..'
I made each student a set of these and put them together using a binder ring so they can easily flick through them and choose appropriate sentence starters during their Readers Workshop.
