Home made Root Viewer

My kids wanted to know how root veggies grow and I wanted a well-priced option. Use a three liter soda bottle and a recycled bottom for a drain cup. I also used a piece of scrap fabric because roots don't like the sun, they will die. I suggest using sticky hook n loop to hold the fabric on. The fabric can be removed to reveal the roots then placed back to protect them. I also planted a pinto bean to show how other plants grow up. The whole project cost under $4.
