Intro to Document Based Questions
I created and used this document to introduce Document Based Questions (DBQs) to my 7th Grade Social Studies students. It goes over what a DBQ is, how to identify one, and how to complete one. I created a rubric for this assignment that is attached, too. I also share statistics of how likely the students are to see a DBQ style question on the New York State History and Government Regents and the AP United States History Exam.
