Environmental Debate Topics
Used for an environmental debate in regular biology. Students are randomly put into groups. One team is pro/for and the other is con/against. Their topics are randomly selected. Students spend time researching and developing a debate speech to persuade the class and a guest judge to vote for their viewpoint. Topics were chosen based on class dynamic. I used two different topic questions for each class. Smaller groups allowed for more student involvement.
