Ancient Civilization Travel Brochure Project
This is an excellent PBL activity for students. You can assign them a civilization or allow them to choose their own. This can also be used as a group project. I have provided guiding questions for each area. Students will gather facts about their civilization in the areas of:

Economy
and Modern day connections

Non-Western History Bi-Weekly Current Event
I created a new elective on Non-Western History, and created this bi-weekly project for students to host discussions about. I held it ever other Wednesday (only because I had an every-other-day class schedule with this group) and the students loved it. This is a great unit if you are bringing attention to the upcoming presidential election. It gives grade schoolers the opportunity to learn debating skills revolving around an election that they are undoubtedly aware of.

Global Issues Weekly Project
I use this project for the entire second semester of my Geography class.
