I've taught in every level from pre-k to college--public and private--so my perspective is highly focused on meeting students right where they are. Most of my experience has been teaching ELA to middle and high school students. I've opened several new schools and enjoyed being able to build programs and school culture from the ground up. I've worked as a mentor and project facilitator for my school district, in Southern Nevada, assigned to support new teachers from outside the field of education.
My teaching mantra is BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, THEN SKILLS. This has been my main focus as a teacher. Meeting students where they are and helping them level up has been my greatest joy in our sometimes challenging profession. The resources I create are systematic, organizational, creative, current, and most of all student-centered.
