TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught in California public schools for 17 years. I've been blessed enough to teach second, fourth, fifth, and sixth graders in self-contained classrooms. I've taught 7th grade History in the past and now teach 7th grade English and ELD.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I enjoy interactive classrooms where students explore and "dig" through their texts to discover new worlds and information. I use lots of short video clips to add to the visual piece and even music to get students excited about learning.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my bachelors degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Kinesiology and obtained my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I hold a multiple subject credential as well as an English and History subject matter authorization.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I absolutely love teaching and through a series of events, found myself teaching middle school English - which was never my plan. And I love it!
