TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been in the world of education for ten wonderful years as a high school ELA teacher. I have taught many different courses ranging from 9th to 12th and have taught every course from basic skills, to college prep., to honors. I have also taught public speaking classes and film analysis courses.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have been formally trained in the Learner-Active-Technology-Infused Classroom method. This is a detailed student-centered approach that puts the ownership of learning on the student and restructures the classroom in a way that allows the teacher to become a successful facilitator of learning. If you want more information go here: http://www.idecorp.com/index.php/the-learner-active-technology-infused-classroom/ I am currently learning about and implementing social-emotional learning components into my lesson plans and overall educational pedagogy and philosophy.
