TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Speech-Language Pathologist with a TEFL certificate. I've worked in the schools for 9 years before becoming an Accent Coach for adults in 2016. Teaching English Learners has expanded my knowledge of how to apply our pronunciation and language activities beyond the speech room.

MY TEACHING STYLE

The focus is on pronunciation and oral expressive language. Functional and fun!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

CCC-SLP, TEFL certificate, Compton P-ESL certificate

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

UCLA, CSU Northridge, Master's in Communication Disorders and Sciences

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My name's Lilly, and I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I moved to Spain in 2016. Barcelona is amazing! It's there that I got my TEFL certificate and began teaching English Learners. Giving English classes to children and adults was super different from doing speech therapy, and that surprised me! These activities draw on my experience as an English teacher and focus on both pronunciation and language.
