TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught for 8 years and am currently looping with a 3rd-grade group that will cycle up to 4th grade. This is a second career. The classroom called after 10 years in journalism and writing.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Mine is an active classroom. Students reinforce lessons by singing and calling cadence while stretching, kicking and punching targets, and jogging in formation. I bring my running and martial arts experience into our lessons. We're loud, but everyone in earshot knows we've got bodies in motion, and minds on fire!
