TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Teagan currently teaches 8th grade English, 10th grade English, Research, Creative Writing, and American literature at a small school in southern Minnesota. Prior to that, she taught English 101 at MSU, Mankato for 4 years while completing her masters degrees.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Teagan is highly interactive and flexible with her class. A lot of her materials are based on the sort of "American Lecture" which often poses discussion questions, includes activities, and has visual aids.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Teagan has a MFA in creative writing and an MA in teaching from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Her master's thesis was the creating of writing materials for Home Schoolers based on genre pedagogies. She herself was homeschooled 4-12th grades.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Teagan is a geek. This includes video gaming, writing books, reading books, making costumes, 5 years on a fencing team and more. She loves talking movies and video games with students and she has a penchant for dressing like a pirate.
