TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 12th year in education, and over the years I've had many opportunities that have shaped my philosophy of education as well as my pedagogy. Some of those experiences include, but are not limited to, the following: English Dept. Chair, District Curriculum Committee, Instructional Coach, Team-Teacher, AP Language Exam Reader, Student Council Advisor, Tennis Coach, Academic Decathlon Sponsor, Administrative Leadership Team, Book Club Advisor, Mentor Teacher, and All-Around Great Gal!!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My style has evolved over the years as I've honed my craft. Currently I plan lessons that focus on close reading, collaborative learning, interdisciplinary connections, depth of knowledge, and student engagement. Basically, students come to class and work hard, work in groups, work to find the answer, and work to defend it.
