TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hi! Thanks for visiting my store. I am a 6th grade teacher in Southwest Florida. I teach regular and advanced World History. Everything from the Paleolithic Era to Mesoamerican cultures! My subject includes information on world religions, cultural differences and similarities, geography, social hierarchies, government, and more.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I use a lot of technology in my classroom and put a large emphasis on building vocabulary. I also do a lot of project based learning because I believe the students are the best teachers to their peers and others! I try to incorporate a lot of real world situations, discuss current events and make connections to old ones, and use socially and culturally relevant materials. I am always learning through colleagues, PD, and lots of education books. For reference, I use the green Holt McDougal World History textbook with King Tut on the front.
