TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began working in education in 2012 assisting in classrooms across the K-21 spectrum. For the last five years I have specialized in behavior management and intervention with an emphasis on Restorative Practices and Trauma Informed Care. I've received several certifications in Special Education and specific disability interventions, trained in RTI academic and behavioral interventions, as well as become a Restorative Justice Facilitator. Over the last 5 years I've helped dozens of paraprofessionals to increase their competence and success while decreasing frustrations and escalating situations.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I've become analytical in my approach to student behavior. By looking at the student as a whole instead of only the behavior they're presenting, I've been able to develop effective interventions and create strong bonds with students. By incorporating detailed data, experiences, student, staff and parent input, student success has increased exponentially.
