I've been teaching 9-12 grade Special Education Intensive Reading and English Language Arts since 2011. Prior to that I worked as a paraprofessional for students with autism and as a substitute teacher. I primarily work with struggling readers with high-incidence disabilities such as specific learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, and language impairments.
Warm and fuzzy. I try to create a cozy place where kids want to settle in with a good book.
Yet to be added
I earned my bachelors degree from Florida Atlantic University (go Owls!). I'm returned to FAU to earn my masters in special education instructional practices and education of students with autism. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Special Education with a focus in literacy instruction for students with high-incidence disabilities.
