Meaghan has been actively teaching for the last 12 years. Whilst many of those years were spent in blended learning and project-based learning K-8 schools, she currently delivers professional development for teachers and instructs graduate-level students at Loyola Marymount University. Her work at LMU specializes in research-based technology integration and blended learning instruction.
As an educator, she strongly believes in utilizing research-based practices to integrate Technology, Literacy, and Art into daily content instruction with a focus on meeting the needs of individual learners while also promoting agency, ownership of learning, and 21st-century skills.
Her work as a master teacher, instructional technology coach, data team lead, school mentor, and curriculum/professional learning developer has led her to receive many different honors and awards. These include the Charles Redd Teaching Western History Award, the Drexel Blended Learning Award, and the Michael Pressley Award for Excellence in Catholic Education.
Meaghan completed undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Notre Dame, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies, a minor in Education, Schooling and Society, a Masters of Education in Elementary Education, and a Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership.
She currently lives in California.
