I have been teaching for 15 years. I have experience teaching k-2, substitute teaching in grades k-12, teaching in the After School program and Adult ESL.

For first-time learning my preference is direct instruction. This empowers students to teach their partner what they are learning, gives them ample, teacher guided~practice and allows students to exercise their college skills in a stand and deliver approach when called upon. I like to empower students to independance, I encourage intrinsic values and promote positive praise throughout the day.

I am Direct Instruction Certified, Coach Certified and nominated in my school as Teacher of the Year in 2012.
