Secondary History/Social Studies SWBAT Chart

This series of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) resources was born out of a desire for SWBAT statements that could easily be posted in my own classroom. While I completely understood and appreciated the importance of daily posting student learning goals (SWBAT or “I Can” statements), I have to admit that I wished I could reclaim the time spent writing them on the board. I also wished I had room to post more than one or two learning goals.

The Secondary History/Social Studies SWBAT Chart makes it easy to display daily learning goals in your classroom. Each SWBAT statement is derived from the Common Core State Standards. Some standards have been split into smaller portions to focus on specific skills. They may also have been edited to fit the format for classroom display. Each statement includes the corresponding CCSS number for easy reference. Simply print and cut the strips to fit into a pocket chart.
