Novel & Writing Project

This project pairs a novel with students own writing. The book walks students through the vocabulary needed, the brainstorming process, setting, characterization, plot, word choice, conflict and theme. Each section has a page to reflect on students reading, then their writing. This can be used with any book. I have used it with The Giver and Freak the Mighty, and both worked very well.
