Closed Syllables, Orton Gillingham

Closed Syllables: Students code the vowels and consonants, then decide if each is a 1) syllable and 2) closed syllable. Red pencils for the vowels (v) and blue pencil for the consonants (c). Prerequisites: 1) students should be very familiar with all short vowel sounds. They should also know the term "short vowel". 2) Students should be able to identify whether a group of letters is a syllable (1 vowel sound) or not a syllable.
