This semester-long project tasks students with the creation of a U.S. History theme park. Students will begin at colonization and work through Reconstruction. This project is perfect for groups as it divides U.S. History into five sections in which students create amusement park attractions relevant to their assigned or chosen time period. Students use descriptive writing to explain their attractions and the historical relevance to each one. They incorporate art by creating visuals as well.
