The History of US is a textbook written by Joy Hakim. This curriculum is aligned with the text.From the introduction to chapter 4, the topic of early migrations to the Americas is discussed. Using these chapters, I created activities, scaffolding, modeling, assessments, project choices, reflections, and rubrics. Before starting chapter one, students are introduced to the textbook using a textbook preview. They also analyze a painting and connecting poem about the origin of the United States.
