The Important Poem SMARTboard Writing File
The Important Poem by Margaret Wise Brown is a wonderful trade book to use to teach six traits. Use the book to encourage students to take everyday items and using showing details turn them into new pieces. SMARTboard file contains six traits information on Ideas and Organization including rubrics. Gives model paper and brainstorming sheet that can be copied for students. Revising and Editing checklists also included.

Informational Research Report Smartboard
This 7 day lesson for the smartboard has 52 slides. There is a rubric and an anchor piece. I wrote this to go with the ReadyGen Unit5 Grade 2 Module B Text Pioneers to the West. That is what my anchor peice is on. This unit can be used with grades 2, 3, or 4. The essay has an introduction, 3 supporting paragraphs with topic sentences and a closing. It walks the students step by step through the essay process. It can be edited to be used with any book. Common Core Standards
