In this lesson students simplify expressions with radicals, sometimes rewriting them as an expression with a rational exponent and in other cases rewriting them as a number. This lesson includes a riddle, "What did the road cyclist say to the mountain biker?," and an eight problem homework assignment with two review questions, four questions on the lesson, and two challenge questions.
