This a video that can be used in a flipped classroom or as a stand alone lesson. This video takes students through the design of a graphic organizer for a five paragraph essay. The video is simple yet engaging. The students will be able to tackle any prompt without the stress of "OH MY GOODNESS! I CAN'T WRITE FIVE PARAGRAPHS!" This video teaches students how to pre-write one paragraph at a time. I have also included a copy of the graphic organizer with the video.

Writing Topic Sentences Video Lecture (Flipped Classroom)
This is a video lecture about writing topic sentences in an essay. It is a video file that is about 1:30. I use this for flipping my classroom and catching up students on content that they have missed.
In this video I explain how a topic sentence is, essentially, a one-point thesis statement. The example I use is drawn from Animal Farm and worldview. The specific prompt addressed is, "What is the worldview of Animal Farm?"
