This lesson introduces Vincent Van Gogh, known as a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter. The lesson is perfect for 1st grade through 4h grade with some variations. Students will have the opportunity to explore directed line drawing and working with color, line, texture and pattern. The lesson will invite the students to create a beautiful unique art piece inspired by Van Gogh’s painting “Chair.” You can use this lesson in the following ways:a unit on texture 30-45 minute sub plansa simple design
